So we have decided to splurge a little and get a pizza oven for our 12th anniversary, this September! We have been dreaming about making our own pizzas in a “real-ish” pizza oven! We have decided to go with the Blackstone Outdoor Pizza Oven. It seems pretty awesome. Cooks a pizza in 3 minutes in a 1,000 degree oven with rotating base. PIZZA IN 3 MINUTES! Sorry hips, you are about to get inundated with pizza! Breakfast, lunch and dinner… SERVED!
Over the years I have been compiling quite the Pizza Pinterest board, full of amazing pizza recipes and fun pizza-related finds. So now the only question is… Which recipe should we make first?!
The Pizza Bible seems like a good cookbook to get started with! Although, I mostly just like coming up with our own concoctions. What’s your favorite? I am a die-hard for a classic margherita but am currently crushing on a Lemon, Pistachio, Rocket pizza with pesto. It’s amazing!
Over the years we have heard that a Double 00 Flour is the way to go to create the perfect crust. I haven’t tried it yet but plan on ordering some flour soon, I can never find it locally. I did a little bit of research and it seems as though the Antimo Caputo “00” Chef’s Flour seems to be a solid choice. Have you tried it? Do you have a favorite?
